Terms of Use

These terms apply to everyone who uses ReviewAdviser (reviewadviser.co.uk), which is run by Example Media Ltd ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use ReviewAdviser.

1. Using ReviewAdviser

You can read ReviewAdviser without an account. You must not use the site in a way that is unlawful or harms the site, other users or the companies listed, for example by scraping it in bulk, trying to break its security or sending spam.

2. Your account

To write a review you need an account. You must be at least 16 years old, give a real email address and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or our review guidelines.

3. Writing reviews

When you write a review you confirm that:

  • it is based on your own genuine experience with the company
  • you are not connected to the company or a competitor, and have not been paid or rewarded for it (unless you say so in the review)
  • it follows our moderation and verification policy
  • it does not break the law or anyone's rights

We may refuse, hide or remove a review that breaks these rules, as described in that policy.

4. Rights in your review

You keep ownership of what you write. By posting a review you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to publish, display, translate, share and adapt it (for example in excerpts) on ReviewAdviser and our other sites and channels, for as long as it stays on ReviewAdviser. Your review is shown with the name you choose, not your email address.

You can delete your review at any time from your account or by contacting us.

5. Companies

A company may reply to reviews about it. Replies must follow the same guidelines as reviews. A company may not offer anything in exchange for writing, changing or removing a review.

6. Content and partner links

Reviews reflect the opinions of their authors, not of ReviewAdviser. Company information is provided for guidance and may not always be up to date, so check details with the company before you buy.

Some links are partner links that may earn us a commission. See our business model. We are not responsible for the websites, products or services of the companies we link to.

7. Our liability

We provide ReviewAdviser as it is and cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We are not liable for losses caused by relying on reviews or company information, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring claims in the courts where you live.
