Chronext

This is the one I'd go back to. I looked at two other sites first and this one had the clearest pricing and the fewest hidden extras at checkout. Delivery was next day and the tracking actually updated along the way. Would pick them again without thinking about it.

I was rather struck by how carefully everything was packed, with each item wrapped separately and a little card tucked inside. I'd been wary of ordering online for something so particular, but the description matched what arrived. The team answered my email promptly when I had a question about the care instructions. I've since recommended it to my sister, who lives in Harrogate.

Bought a padded parka for the dog walks and it arrived in about three days, which was quicker than I expected. I know my outdoor gear well so I could tell straight away the zips and seams were decent for the money. The hood is a bit small if you wear a bobble hat though, so I'd size up if that's you.

Bought the 12 month plan for our two kids' school clothes and bags, and it works out cheaper than paying for everything separately each term. The sizing guide was clear and the first order came in a few days, which was quicker than I expected. Customer support answered my one question within an hour. Good value for a family with growing kids.

Compared with the shop I usually go to for the same thing, this works out a bit dearer once you add delivery, but the site was easy enough to use and I liked being able to pick my own delivery slot. Takes a bit longer to arrive than I'd like, though it did turn up on the day it said it would.

Did what it said on the tin in the end, but it took two emails and nearly a week before anyone sorted my order out. Would have liked a quicker reply.

Needed a replacement for a broken one before a trip, so I checked a couple of other places first. This was the cheapest I could find with next day delivery. Took a few minutes to get the address box to accept my postcode but sorted it.

Compared to the high street shop I used to use, this is a bit of a step back. I've been ordering here for years and the prices have crept up without much warning. The order itself was fine and it arrived when it said it would. Service has got slower though, I had to wait four days for a reply to a query.

Needed it for my cousin's wedding in June and didn't have time to shop around properly so ordered the lot on the site on a Sunday night. Got a confirmation straight away and it turned up Wednesday, everything was there and fits fine. Only thing is the checkout kept logging me out so I had to go through twice, but got there in the end.
